Lenox Money-Smart Kids™ Program
                              Program Summary

Lenox Advisors wants to help clients raise money-smart children. To that end, we built the Lenox Money-Smart Kids™ Program, a platform for our clients and their children that includes recommendations on and access to:

  • Books
  • Web sites
  • Newsletters
  • Age-specific lesson plans
  • Seminars with authors, Trusts & Estates attorneys and money managers

This program is a direct outgrowth of client requests for more information to assist them in raising financially literate children. Importantly, however, we realize our first priority is to identify resources for parents. Once parents have a roadmap to help establish or reinforce their own money values, the rest is fairly straightforward. Initially, we do this is through a “Money Constitution,” in which parents set down their specific perspectives and outlooks on money values.

The next step is identifying the four pillars of money parents should focus on for their children ages 5-18:

  • Saving
  • Spending
  • Donating
  • Investing

But all the books, Web sites and seminars are secondary to the best resource—your time. Parents can not be reticent to discuss money with their children. Therefore, the Lenox Money-Smart Kids Program provides many suggested activities parents and children can do together. Whether it’s a Web site with financial vocabulary; a way to integrate philanthropy into your everyday lives; or how to position an allowance, the Program offers numerous ways to help achieve financial literacy for children. It’s a must for their future.
