John Z. Murphy

John Z. Murphy is a Senior Vice President at Lenox Advisors, where he focuses on guiding clients through the complexities of retirement planning with clarity, structure, and long term purpose. Since first joining Lenox in 2011 and rejoining in 2026, John has drawn on past experience across wealth management, accounting, investment banking, and consulting to deliver a well rounded, practical perspective on financial discussions.

He works closely with individuals and families who are approaching or already in retirement, helping them define their goals, build durable strategies, and feel organized and confident in their plans for the future.

John earned a BA in Business Communications from Ramapo College, where he was also a member of the baseball team. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Hilary, and their dog, Hank.
